Best Affiliate Programs. What Are The Best Affiliate Programs To Promote

Everyone Wants More Cash

One of my favorite things about internet marketing is that no matter who you are and what you’re selling, you can always promote other people’s products as an affiliate.

There are many Internet Marketing gurus who are running multi-million dollar businesses and yet they never miss a chance to promote other people’s products to their lists.

Few month back I have purchased the LaunchTree course and two weeks later signed up as an affiliate. Here’s just a couple of names I saw on the affiliate contest scoreboard the second I logged in: Eben Pegan, Frank Kern, and Russell Brunson.

Those guys are already running multi-million dollar businesses and still they didn’t miss an opportunity to promote a $77 product.

What Makes Best Affiliate Programs?

Most affiliate marketers when in need of a new affiliate program to promote – turn to Clickbank for help. Personally though, I don’t like Clickbank very much. I can’t explain why – I have my own reasons. But nevertheless, I try to avoid doing business with them unless necessary.

Most affiliate marketers make the mistake of promoting ebooks. The mistake here is not the product, but the payment plan. Ebooks are rarely sold with a continuity program attached to them which means that the affiliate is only going to be paid once.

Best affiliate programs are the once that pay on monthly basis, the ones that you do not have to sell over and over again. Residual affiliate programs – those are the best ones in my book.

Additional Guidelines

Here’s a list of specific guidelines to follow when choosing an affiliate program:

  1. Residual Income or Continuity. Best affiliate programs are the ones that pay on monthly basis.
  2. Reliability. In order for the promotion to be as genuine and as effective as possible it is best to promote only the products you have personally tested/used. I try to avoid promoting products that can hurt my subscribers in one way or another.
  3. Need, Want or Desire. Make sure that the product you are promoting fills a significant need, want or desire that your subscribers have. For example if you have weight loss targeted list than promoting car insurance to that list is a stupid thing to do, don’t you
    agree?

Free Affiliate Promotions

Here’s a tricky one: should you promote an affiliate program that doesn’t pay? Yeah, You should. But only if it pays later or pays in a different kind of currency – value.

Sometimes, it is appropriate to promote affiliate programs that don’t pay right away. There are plenty of free programs with an option for an upgrade and various subscription levels.

Often, those are very profitable to promote for several reasons:

  1. You acquire a higher expert status by recommending a free product.
  2. When they upgrade – you get paid, and most of the time – it’s residual.
  3. It’s one of the greatest ways to build a rock solid business relationship. Giving without asking anything back will result in receiving more than you ever wished for.
